I have spent the last 25 years in the charity sector as a chief executive, manager, fundraiser and trustee; in both paid and voluntary capacities. In that time I have worked mainly with smaller organisations, helping them to grow in size, income and impact.
Having started my charity career ‘by accident’ as a community fundraiser for an overseas development charity, I have set up and helped to run several local and international charities as well as serving as a trustee (and chair of trustees) for several smaller charities and churches. I have recruited and led paid and volunteer teams, and been involved in planning and implementing change as well as raising substantial sums for a wide variety of causes.
I love being part of this sector, full of committed, passionate people doing amazing things. However, it can also be a challenging place, with shortage of funds, lack of time and the sense of being pulled in too many different directions being common problems, particularly for smaller organisations. If this sounds familiar, or you are facing other pressures or opportunities. I may be able to help. Click here to find out some of the things I can offer or here to contact me. Talking will cost you nothing!
